About the event
This gathering is a call to show up for our children. In the wake of community violence, we are mobilizing volunteers across Winston-Salem/Forsyth County to stand in the gap our systems have left. We’re recruiting parents, faith leaders, and community partners to take up daily roles in our schools—cafeterias, hallways, bathrooms, bus lots, and respite rooms—places where our presence can change the conditions our children walk into every day. This is how a community answers the question: How are the children?
Together, we will:
Recruit + sign up volunteers for cafeteria, hallway, bathroom, bus lot, and respite room monitoring.
Build a city-wide culture of showing up for children.
Launch an ongoing volunteer infrastructure for daily mentoring and monitoring support.
